Tired of having your dog drag you down the street, pulling your arm off at the appearance of every car, squirrel or other dog? Then this is the class for you! Our Walk About! class is all about developing dog leash walking skills that give you better control and makes outings an event both you and your dog can enjoy.

The goal of this class is to teach your pooch polite leash walking skills, especially in the face of everyday, real-life distractions like bicyclists, cats and squirrels. We will make use of a variety of techniques to teach both automatic loose-leash walking and a cued heel.

We will build “leave it,” skills as well as learn a new cue, “go for it!” in order to give you more control when walking your dog in your neighborhood or around town with real-world distractions. By teaching your dog to disengage from distractions when asked and learning to actually use distractions as rewards for proper behavior, your dog can learn proper leash skills that you both can be proud of!
